Tips for devices that do not communicate: They are either not fitted, not turned on, or not communicating on the databus. Single Module scan conducted on 10:49:55 AMįollowing devices were found and are communicating: Navcoder will not detect my TCU, even tho it's actively working! I'm scrolling through the phone book, calling dummy numbers (can't hear anything of course), but when I perform a module scan, here's what I get: No problem, done, updated my version with the license code, go back out to the car, begin trying to figure out what's up with my telephone. I scanned my telephone module, it auto-filled in all of the info: the unit's name, the BT passkey, the type of TCU it was, the last 7 of the previous vehicles VIN, everything, but I couldn't change or code anything until I paid for and registered the license. Did so, and was able to view a lot of the info on my Ibus, in only the non-registered version. Was advised to purchase Navcoder and Resler Ibus interface. Other end could hear me fine (after replacing microphone) but I couldn't hear them. Got those bits in, installed, activated my phone's bluetooth, paired it with the car, car would display "BMW ASSIST INACTIVE" message and mute the radio for first 10 minutes or so of driving, after which my phone controls worked perfectly, with the exception of no volume out of any of my speakers when placing or receiving a call. Bought a BT-enabled TCU, antenna and cables, seen in "Bluetooth for dummies" thread. This all started with wanting to use my existing car hardware to talk on my iphone. I like to consider myself a fairly smart fella, but this one's losing me, so here goes my plea for assistance:
